What is the Joint Area Review (JAR)?
The JAR is part of the new integrated inspection framework of children’s services. The JAR will examine how services are contributing to the well-being of children and young people. Well-being is defined in terms of the 5 outcomes described in ‘Every Child Matters:
We are one of six local authority areas being reviewed for the first time under the Children Act 2004.
